An aerial photo of the house during construction. Plot looks nice and level from up here. |
Back on terra firma and the plot looks very different! The steeply sloping plot means a lot of underbuilding, giving the opportunity to create a useable basement. When the house is completed a dry stone wall is to be built to disguise the underbuilding and soften the impact. |

This is the basement with stairs leading to ground floor level. It might just take a pool table. |
This is the view as you arrive at the top of the basement stairs. The naturally lit bright interior of the main house is a real contrast from the (mainly) artificially lit basement. |

This is the view you get when making your mince & tatties. |
Why doesn't my kitchen ever look like this? Where are all the dirty dishes and greasy finger marks? Its not that I'm jealous or anything. |

I'm ready for the mince & tatties now. |

Looking to the living room and up to the bridge walkway - a real feature of this design. |
Upstairs now. This is the bridge walkway that links the upstairs sitting area and the master bedroom. |

Landscaping complete and house now looking much more comfortable. |
This is the rear of the house with the main entrance nice and handy for the car parking, always an important consideration when designing your house. |

| The sign on the wall says "Bluebell Cottage" which is just as well since that is the name of the house. | |||
