The first stage has arrived on site and the panels are being laid out in their rough locations. |
Panels start to rise out of the ground and with them the first hints of how the house will look. |

A beautifully calm February day enables the trusses to be lifted into place. The true size of the house is now becoming clear. |
Looking up into the labyrinth of roof trusses shows just how much wood is up there. |

| |
A bright green breather membrane now covers the roof. This allows the roof to breath once the slates are on allowing moisture out but not in. All the windows are now in too and the blockwork has been started. |
The house is virtually completed now. All that's needed outside now is a coat of white paint. The golden glow in this photo is attributed to a beautiful sunny evening rather than paint! |

At last the house is finished and Peter and Carol have been having fun unpacking ornaments and choosing where to put their furniture. This is the living room with it's wood burning stove. The windows at the front look out over the loch beyond. |
The living room again but from the front looking towards the rear of the property. As you can see, it's a big room which allows plenty of entertaining space. |

This archway leads from the dining room into the kitchen. It creates a partition while ensuring that the two rooms also work together. |
From the kitchen back through to the dining room with a 15 pane glass door leading through to the spacious entrance area. |

The stair is a focal point to this design so we'll show you lots of photos of it. The main house entrance brings you into this spacious and versatile entrance area. |
Standing at the mid point of the stair and looking back down to the entrance area. Peter and Carol have chosen to keep this area as an open welcoming space with a seat to relax and enjoy the views but it is a large enough area to use as a sun lounge or dining area. |
| |
| |
As you continue up the stair you can see across to the balcony. This area is accessed from two bedrooms on either side. You can see a hint of the entrance area below with the door through to the dining room. |
The balcony area is a lovely restful part of the house. Peter tells us that it's a perfect place to set up a telescope and watch the passing dolphins. Carol suggests that it's also a perfect place to relax with a glass of wine! |

The master bedroom faces the front of the house. This photo shows half of it, behind there is an en-suite bathroom. All four bedrooms in this house have their own en-suite facilities, perfect if you are considering doing B&B. |
