Lots of panels

The first stage has arrived on site and the panels are strategically laid out ready for erection.

Roof trusses

A beautiful, calm February day perfect for lifting the trusses into place.  The true size of the house is now becoming clear.

Front March 12th

A bright green breather membrane now covers the roof.  This allows the roof to breathe once the slates are on allowing moisture out but not in.

Kildonan Lounge

This is the living room with it's wood burning stove.  The windows at the front look out over the loch beyond.

Arch to Kitchen

This archway leads from the dining room into the kitchen.  It creates a partition while ensuring that the two rooms also work together.

Front no trusses

Panels start to rise out of the ground and with them the first hints of how the house will look.

Steer roof trusses

Looking up into the labyrinth of roof trusses shows just how much wood is up there.

Sunny Roughcast

The house is virtually completed now.  All that's needed outside now is a coat of white paint.  The golden glow in this photo is attributed to a beautiful sunny evening rather than paint!

Kildonan Lounge

The living room again but from the front looking towards the rear of the property.

Arch to Dining Room

From the kitchen back through to the dining room with a 15-pane glass door leading through to the spacious entrance area.
