SkyeHomes ready for changes to building regulations in England
25 February 2008

The latest announcement from the government that all new homes in in England 'must cater for the ageing' has been warmly welcomed by organisations such as Age Concern and Help the Aged.

Builders and developers have been less than impressed, as the raft of features now to be included in new homes include stairs wide enough for a stairlift, downstairs bathrooms and wheelchair friendly rooms and spaces.

Whatever your opinion on the standards, the good news is that SkyeHomes are ready to help you and other self-builders in England meet these new regulations.

During 2007 the Scottish Building Regulations were updated and these changes were introduced.  Our updated range, which we will add to our website next month, addresses the updated Scottish regulations.  And that means we are ideally placed to deal with the regulation changes in England.
